Dún Laoghaire Harbour is well served by public transport.

By train: In Dublin, the electric rail system called the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) is a quick and easy way to get around Dublin and out to Dún Laoghaire Harbour. It runs along the coast of the Irish Sea from Malahide or Howth in north County Dublin soutwards as far as Greystones, Co Wicklow. DART services operate every 15 minutes at peak or 30 minutes off peak. The journey from Dublin’s Connolly Station to Dún Laoghaire takes approximately 25 minutes.

By bus: The following buses service Dún Laoghaire: 7, 7n, 46a, 46n,59, 63, 75 and 111.

2013 Tariff

The Pay and Display tariff in Dún Laoghaire Harbour is €2.00 an hour with a minimum payment of €2.00. Payment may be made by Credit Card on selected machines.

The times of operation of pay and display are from 0900 to 2000 seven days a week (including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays).

Discounted Parking Rates are available as follows:

 Annual Parking Permits

Annual Parking Permits (Valid in designated areas only) are available at €800 for the calendar year (for purchase see below).

Quarterly Parking Permits

Quarterly Parking Permits (Valid in designated areas only) are available for €200 per quarter (for purchase see below).

Permits are non-transferable and will “void” if removed.

Enforcement

Enforcement is by clamping: fine €70

Please also note that each pay and display machine has the facility to allow payment in to the next charging period to facilitate those who may wish to leave their vehicles overnight
