Urban Beach in Dún Laoghaire Harbour

Inspired by the Badeschiff facility in Berlin, the Dún Laoghaire Harbour Company has plans for a new facility called the Urban Beach featuring a floating swimming pool. The Project Design Team will be appointed in February 2013 with the view to having this facility operational within the next 12-18 months. The project will be situated off the East Pier and will contain fresh seawater permanently heated to 26C, using renewable energy sources. We will keep you updated as this exciting project develops.
