The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus arrives into Dún Laoghaire Harbour this Sunday, 4th August from 10am to 7pm. The Bus is staffed by a crew of three producers / engineers and will provide free tours and workshops in which young people can produce original songs, audio recordings, broadcast quality music videos and livestream events using professional equipment. The Bus will be located on the East Pier.
Gerry Dunne, CEO of Dún Laoghaire Harbour Company said: “We are delighted to welcome The John Lennon Education Tour Bus to Dún Laoghaire Harbour. The Bus is a once in a life time opportunity for young aspiring musicians to produce original music, videos, photos, game apps and broadcast projects within the bus’s mobile recording studio and we’re encouraging young people and their families to come down to the East Pier on Sunday.”
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus has toured the United States for the past 16 years. A second bus – built in Germany – is now three months into a European tour, having been launched by Yoko Ono in Liverpool earlier this year. On its first ever trip to Ireland, the Bus visited Cork, Laois, Dún Laoghaire and Dublin.
