Dun Laoghaire Harbour is a working harbour which relies on commercial income to fund the ongoing cost of maintaining and repairing the substantial infrastructure of this 200 year old man-made harbour; The future of the harbour, as described in our Masterplan and in the National Ports Policy is in terms of “maritime tourism, marine leisure, cultural amenity and urban redevelopment”.
May 1817 saw the commencement of an incredibly exciting project, the construction of Dun Laoghaire Harbour. In 2017 we will celebrate the bicentenary of this event with all those associated with the Harbour. Please visit the website below for more information.
